Witness the remarkable transformation of this Subaru, which arrived at Avalanche Automotive in a rather unfortunate state. The engine had suffered a blow, causing irreparable damage to the IHI VF24 turbo. Adding to the challenge, the vehicle was enveloped in a low-quality rally replica vinyl, and the body exhibited signs of considerable wear and tear.

The restoration journey began with the removal of the engine, followed by a comprehensive reconditioning process. This included chemical cleaning, the installation of new pistons, rings, con rods, and skimming. Opting for an upgrade, we replaced the damaged VF24 turbo with an IHI VF34 turbo, known for its superior performance.

With the engine addressed, attention turned to the bodywork. The inferior rally replica vinyl was completely removed, and both front and rear bumpers underwent a repaint to remedy scrapes and chips. To rejuvenate the exterior, a full-body cutting compound polish was applied using 3M, restoring the once dull and matted white finish.

 

To bring the restoration to its completion, we provided and painted a set of original Impreza alloys in a stylish Gunmetal Grey/silver hue, adding the perfect finishing touch to this revitalized Subaru.
